Laser hair removal typically requires four to six treatments. The timing between treatments will vary depending on the location, but is generally every 6-8 weeks.
We can’t stress this enough- you need to complete your series at the prescribed interval for the best results. Most folks who do this will remain hair free from anywhere from 2-10 years. You may need annual touchups, but this is generally a quick process because hair is finer and there is less of it.
The best candidates for laser hair removal have lighter skin and darker, coarse hair because the laser is looking for contrast. This doesn’t mean other skin types and hair colors can not have laser hair removal — it just means you will need to have a consultation to identify if it is right for you.
Laser hair removal does not hurt. It feels kind of like a rubber band snap.
You may need touch ups from time to time, but they generally take less time than when you started. Anyone who tells you that the hair will be gone forever no matter the device should be met with healthy skepticism.
